Derrick is a Partner at Awael AlBahrain with more than 25 years of professional experience in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He leads specialist advisory work across business valuations, management consultancy, corporate advisory and forensic accounting.

He is registered by the courts of the Kingdom of Bahrain as a restructuring and liquidation trustee and has experience supervising insolvency, liquidation, creditor and restructuring processes.

Derrick also undertakes accounting expert work in commercial disputes and other formal proceedings, combining financial analysis with a strong focus on evidence, documentation and the purpose of the expert mandate.

Abbas is the Managing Partner of the Awael group with more than 42 years of professional experience in accounting and advisory roles in Bahrain and the GCC. His career has included senior partnership positions with PwC and BDO before the establishment of the Awael group.

His experience spans professional practice, governance, strategic advisory and leadership within the accounting profession. He provides strategic oversight across the group and contributes senior judgment to complex mandates.

Abbas’s role is to ensure that engagements reflect the group’s standards of professionalism, independence, quality and accountability.
